Our History
The great community collaborative!
Gifts for Seniors provides donated community resources for isolated older adults in need during life-affirming social visits. We achieve our social mission through the engagement and critical support of individual donors, corporate sponsors, local businesses, volunteers, and community partnerships. It all began in 1994 with a holiday gift drive for seniors who may not have had family or friends stopping by. Today, Gifts for Seniors serves over 7,000 socially isolated older adults with year-round programming.
The Gifts for Seniors model is simple, but effective.
Donors provide new, unwrapped gifts.
Volunteers bundle and wrap the gifts with a handwritten card.
Community partners select and personally deliver gifts during life-affirming social visits. These check-ins are critical in identifying self-neglect, elder abuse, and financial exploitation. The gifts are sure to bring joy! But quite often they are a much-needed resource for health and well-being.

Coordinate a group from your place of worship, school, place of employment, book club, creative club, or whatever group you choose and create cards. They can be purchased and filled out by your group or handmade. There are plenty of ways to contribute and spread joy!
